What is interior architecture?
When we say "interior architecture in Istanbul," do not picture only "decoration" — interior architecture is the discipline that designs both the functional flow and visual identity of a space together. In a properly designed interior project, where the walls go, where light enters, what dimensions the wardrobes have, and the bench height of the kitchen are all planned in advance.
The HausenLab interior architecture team manages every stage of your residential or commercial project — concept design, 3D rendering, furniture selection, lighting planning. Many of our clients commission both design and execution from us; it is also possible to commission only the design package and execute with a different team.
Our Beykoz-based team designs across every district of Istanbul.
Who is it for?
- New apartment owners — interiors arriving in shell or stripped state that need fitting to your taste
- Home renovators — those who want to see the new concept before moving to the renovation phase
- Office & shop owners — those seeking a brand-aligned space that strengthens the customer experience
- Cafe / restaurant operators — venues where circulation, lighting, and customer flow are decisive
- Investors — anyone looking to make rental or Airbnb units photogenic and quick to turn around
What to watch for during the interior design process?
A major step for the client in this service is picking the right team:
- Is the portfolio real? Many teams share render portfolios; you should ask which projects were actually built. A great render can hide a problematic execution.
- Does the plan include technical drawings? Going to execution with only a mood board is uncontrolled. Dimensioned plans, sections, and electrical–outlet diagrams are essential.
- Furniture & material list: at the end of the design package, you should receive a written list of recommended brands, models, and dimensions. Otherwise every detail is renegotiated during execution.
- Budget alignment: the goal of an interior project is to produce budget-fit plans as much as aesthetics. The designer should recommend materials based on your budget.
- Revision rounds: the contract must specify how many revision rounds are included; otherwise every small change becomes a negotiation.
What drives interior design pricing?
Interior design pricing depends on three core parameters: m² to be designed, package tier (concept / detailed / complete), and whether 3D renders are included.
- Concept package — mood board, rough plan; sufficient for early ideation
- Detailed package — technical plan, sections, materials list, at least 1 render
- Complete package — full documentation + execution consulting + 360° virtual tour
If you want furniture selection and order consulting, add 20% to the package fee. The design service is design only; execution, materials, and furniture costs are separate.
The cost calculator on this page lets you enter the three parameters and see an estimate in minutes.
The HausenLab difference
Our interior architecture team includes architects and interior architects, a certified 3D-render specialist, and an on-site architect who measures rooms before drawing. As a result, the gap between what was designed and what was built closes. The "design–execution mismatch" many interior architects deal with is minimized at HausenLab.
What you receive at the end of the design package is not just pretty visuals; it is a buildable technical package: plans, sections, elevations, furniture list, material documentation, lighting plan, and render images. The package is buildable by any qualified team.
Thanks to 15+ years of contractor and brand relationships, we recommend furniture and materials at genuinely accessible prices — we do not surprise clients with luxury-only suggestions far above market.
