    Brief

    An interior architecture brief came in for the new office of a 40-person software company on a plaza floor in Levent. The existing space had a legacy cubicle layout, meeting rooms were inadequate, and there was no social area. The new team wanted a hybrid structure — "open plan, but quiet work zones too."

    Approach

    In the brief meeting, 14 specific requirements were cataloged. To measure usage intensity, the existing office's meeting rooms, kitchen, and workstations were tracked over two weeks — real data drove the design.

    The concept was developed in three directions:

    • "Loft": high ceiling, exposed services, warm timber details
    • "Studio": minimalist white, expansive glass surfaces, acoustic panels
    • "Library": dark timber, library feel, focus rooms in majority

    The client chose the Studio direction — open and bright, with high acoustic comfort.

    Solution

    Workstations were placed in the open plan as 6-pod islands. A focus room (1–2 person, sound-insulated) was added next to each island — 8 focus rooms in total. Meeting rooms were designed in three sizes: 4-person (×3), 8-person (×2), and a 16-person board room (×1).

    The lighting plan was built in three layers:

    • General: LED strips concealed in suspended drywall ceilings, daylight temperature
    • Task: individual LED arm lamps at each desk
    • Accent: linear LED at meeting-room entrances, pendants over the kitchen bar

    The 60 m² kitchen / social area was positioned at the center of the office — to create "encounter economics." It includes an espresso machine, water dispenser, microwave, refrigerator, lounge seating, and bar counter.

    The 3D render package contained 14 different camera angles + 1 virtual tour. The furniture list documented brand/model/SKU for every piece; even though the execution team was separate, selection and placement consulting was provided by us.

  4. 04

    Outcome

    Three months after moving in, a survey was conducted: 86% of the team said, "I work more productively in the new office." Meeting-room booking conflicts (15+ per week in the old office) dropped to 2 per week in the new office. A year later, the company expanded by taking the adjacent wing on the same floor for an additional 15-person team, using our design guidelines as the reference.
